Nine Zero Lacquer Halloween 2016

Image
Hey guys! So I've been wanting to publish blog posts more often and I figured once a week sounded doable for me. From here on out, there shall be new blog posts up every Sunday! Here's hoping I manage to stick to this schedule, but I think I'll be able to manage. Anyways, today I have an exciting collection for you! I've swatched Nine Zero Lacquer's Halloween 2016 Collection. If you want to see these polishes and know what I think about them, keep on reading!! Nine Zero Lacquer is an indie brand by the lovely Jessface90. As a fan of her's, it was only natural for me to eventually try her brand and, I must say, I'm impressed. With that being said, on to the swatches! First up we have, Tricks No Treats - my personal favorite from this collection! The white crelly base is fresh and stark against the bright orange, green, and purple metallic shredded glitter scattered within. Here I have three coats plus one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat. ...

NOTD: KBShimmer Be Scareful

Image
Hey guys! I'm so excited that October is finally here. Halloween is quickly becoming one of my favorite holidays and this year I hope to get in as many Halloween inspired manicures as I possibly can! Of course I'll be sharing them all with you lovelies, and I hope to see some amazing nail art from all of you as well. To kick off the month, I chose to do KBShimmer Be Scareful from last year's Fall collection. If you want to find out more about this polish, keep on reading! Be Scareful is a white crelly base packed full of black and orange glitters. There are small hexes, larger hexes, circles, triangles, and even stars, which were harder to get onto the nail. You'd probably have to do some fishing if you really want them. This polish also glows in the dark, which was quite the surprise from me! I really had no idea until I went to bed last night. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a decent photo of this glow-in-the-dark awesomeness.  The formula is a tad she...

Top Five Fall Favorites

Image
Hey guys!! So sorry for the lack of posts lately. School started up for me again a couple of weeks ago and I'm still getting used to the schedule. And not only that, I also had a severe case of carpal tunnel just as school was starting; my left-hand was basically useless to me up until this past weekend. Yikes. Luckily I've healed up well enough to be able to bring to you my top five favorite nail polishes for the fall. I cannot tell you how excited I am for this time of year! Granted, there isn't much of a seasonal change in South Florida, but it does get less humid and sticky and if that isn't a reason to rejoice, I don't know what is! So if you'd like to find out more about my favorite nail polish for this time of year keep on reading! First up we have Butter London Shag. I must say Butter London isn't a brand that I've mentioned often, but for a very long time it was my favorite. Their formulas are usually very smooth and easy to apply and they ...

OPI Euro Centrale Gradient

Image
Hey guys! Today I thought I'd share with you this super cool, yet super easy gradient manicure I did earlier this week using polishes from OPI's Euro Centrale collection from Spring/Summer 2013. Keep on reading if you'd like to see more!! [L-R] OPI You're Such A Budapest, Can't Find My Czechbook, & OPI...Eurso Euro   This collection has always been a favorite of mine. This was probably one of the first collections I was anxiously anticipating when I started getting into nail polish. It was also gifted to me by my older brother for my nineteenth birthday. And, of course, it really does have beautiful colors. OPI...Eurso Euro is probably one of my favorite dark blues of all time. And You're Such A Budapest is an amazing periwinkle/lilac color that I believe is unique, at least to my collection.  Ommorphia Beauty Bar OPI Euro Centrale Gradient 2013 Naturally, I was big into reading blogs back then and that was how I would get most of my information...

Favorite Bloggers

Image
Hey guys! For today's post, I thought I'd share with you a few of my favorite nail polish bloggers that I've discovered over the years. This set of girls have clearly built up a strong following of their own, but they deserve the shout outs nonetheless. They inspire people on a daily basis and there's something beautiful and magical about that!! (Plus, hard work and dedication always deserves recognition, amirite?) So, keep on reading to find out just who these special ladies are! 1. Mary from aLoveTart    Mary was the first ever YouTuber that I ever stumbled upon almost five years ago. I specifically searched on Google "how to paint nails correctly" because I was tired of biting my nails and I figured learning how to paint them properly would be a step on the road to recovery. Her How to: The Perfect Salon Manicure video was the first one to pop up and it literally changed my life. I also watched her How to: Remove Nail Polish From Your Cuticle...

NOTD: Elevation Polish The Sea Was Red

Image
Hi everyone! Today I have for you a quick NOTD post sharing with you this amazing indie polish I've been sporting on my nails for the past couple of days. If you want to bask in the jaw dropping awesomeness of this nail polish with me and see what I think of it, keep on reading!! Elevation Polish The Sea Was Red, Indoor Lighting Elevation Polish The Sea was Red definitely looks like a golden holographic polish in the bottle, but once applied it takes on different tones. There's a red to orange to gold/champagne shift when you're looking at it in low lighting, but once the light (artificial or sunlight) hits the surface of your nails, all the holographic goodness comes into play. It is strong. And I love it. Indoor Lighting, Label Holographic polishes are probably one of my favorite finishes just because they can be so beautiful and in-your-face . They're usually easy to apply, quick drying, and aren't a mess to take off like shimmers and glitters a...

Mini Haul featuring OPI & Essie

Image
Today I have for you a very tiny little haul for you from last weekend. I'm fortunate enough to have the most amazing nail supply store just minutes away from my house. Needless to say, Lucky's Nail Supply is my wonderland and I often find myself getting into a bit of trouble there, so let's get into this haul! [L-R] OPI Nail Envy, This Cost Me A Mint, Essie Steal His Name, Between the Seats, & Loot the Booty The first polish I picked up was a necessity more than anything. OPI's Nail Envy has been my absolute favorite base coat for as long as I can remember and I needed a fresh bottle. It's supposed to strengthen your nails and prevent them from breaking , peeling, etc. while also providing you with a smooth base for your next mani. I can attest to all of the above. I used to be an avid nail biter and I can honestly say that Nail Envy was one of the very few products that helped my nails grow long and strong. I've used other base coats throughout ...
