Glam Polish Totally 80's || Swatches

|| gifted || Releasing this Friday, July 31st at 2PM EST is the Totally 80's Collection. It consists of ten fun flakies and shimmery shades inspired by popular 80's movies! I was kindly sent five out of the ten shades to swatch & share with you guys today.  First up is Nobody Puts Baby In A Corner -- a light pink crelly with aurora shimmer & ultra holo glitter. Solely based on the theme, this is my favorite (and the only one I immediately knew the reference to). I'm a Dirty Dancing lover through and through. Formula-wise though, this one is the trickiest of the bunch. The pale base is a bit streaky. If you're more patient than I am with shades like this or if you have shorter nails, you may have more luck. Shown is four coats + top coat. Next up is  Never Feed Him After Midnight -- a light brown crelly with aurora shimmer & ultra holo glitter. This one is based on Gremlins. Mini Haul featuring OPI & Essie

Today I have for you a very tiny little haul for you from last weekend. I'm fortunate enough to have the most amazing nail supply store just minutes away from my house. Needless to say, Lucky's Nail Supply is my wonderland and I often find myself getting into a bit of trouble there, so let's get into this haul! [L-R] OPI Nail Envy, This Cost Me A Mint, Essie Steal His Name, Between the Seats, & Loot the Booty The first polish I picked up was a necessity more than anything. OPI's Nail Envy has been my absolute favorite base coat for as long as I can remember and I needed a fresh bottle. It's supposed to strengthen your nails and prevent them from breaking , peeling, etc. while also providing you with a smooth base for your next mani. I can attest to all of the above. Mending a Broken Nail | Tea Bag Patch

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I had broken a nail and a few of you wanted to see a tutorial. Usually my nails are strong, but I made the huge mistake of buffing them a little bit too much. I had this idea that the smoother they are, the easier it would be to paint them. However, this weakened my nails very badly. Heed my warning (and the warnings of basically everyone on the internet)! Not a good idea, no matter how strong you think your natural nails are. I was frantic thinking of ways to keep my poor nail intact (at the moment I was using a band-aid to keep in from getting worse) when I remembered the tea bag patch method! I've tried this method before, but I got very different results. If I remember correctly, the first time I tried it, I used nail glue. It was pretty bad.
